DMP-A8 Gen 2: high fidelity at the heart of your musical universe
Designed to become the nerve centre of an ambitious Hi-Fi system, the Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 combines a high-resolution network player, a digital-to-analogue converter and a fully balanced analogue preamplifier in a single device. Its large aircraft-grade aluminium chassis provides rigidity, elegance and natural protection against interference, while its 8.6-inch LCD touchscreen and new interface provide particularly smooth control. Behind this refined presentation are a carefully isolated digital and analogue architecture, a powerful octa-core processor, 8 GB of DDR5 memory and a dual low-noise power supply. The DMP-A8 Gen 2 combines responsiveness, versatility and remarkable audio performance, with distortion as low as 0.000075%, a dynamic range of over 129 dB on its XLR outputs and support for native DSD512 streams as well as PCM 768 kHz/32-bit.
An audio architecture designed to preserve every nuance
Conversion is based on the high-end combination of AKM AK4191EQ and AK4499EXEQ : the former handles digital processing while the latter performs analogue conversion, optimising every stage of the signal. Enhanced by Velvet Sound technology, OPA1612 operational amplifiers and two ultra-low phase-noise clocks, this architecture reproduces recordings with a silent background, precise separation and a particularly clear soundstage. The proprietary Eversolo AuralEngine multicore processor ensures direct high-resolution USB Audio transmission without a computer. Also included are the EOS engine, which bypasses Android's SRC conversion to preserve a bit-perfect path, and the EVC volume engine, designed to preserve dynamics and signal balance at all listening levels. Analogue volume adjustment via an R-2R resistor network also avoids losses associated with digital attenuation.
Comprehensive connectivity enhanced by intelligent technologies
Digital inputs, XLR and RCA analogue inputs, balanced outputs, USB Audio, IIS, AES/EBU, HDMI ARC/eARC and a dedicated subwoofer output: the DMP-A8 Gen 2 adapts equally well to traditional sources and contemporary audiovisual systems. Its network connectivity combines Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and an SFP port for optical links, while Bluetooth 5.4 is based on a Qualcomm QCC3095 receiver. Its musical ecosystem brings together streaming services, Connect protocols, DLNA/UPnP and SMB, NFS or WebDAV libraries, with unified search and playlists combining local music and online content. The exclusive evotune PRO acoustic correction jointly analyses frequency, time and space using DRC modelling and FIR filters. It is complemented by a professional 20-band parametric equaliser, FIR filter import, dynamic compression, loudness and oversampling of up to 16×.
