Designed to create an ambitious stereo system or an immersive surround setup, the Cambridge Audio MSX 20 combines power, precision and a compact footprint. Its ultra-compact cabinet houses two BMR drivers, including a model specifically dedicated to low frequencies, delivering a surprisingly wide and deep soundstage. Precisely tuned by Cambridge Audio, this speaker provides balanced and articulate reproduction across a 120 Hz to 20 kHz range, with a sensitivity of 88 dB. Its elegant design and matte finish allow it to blend naturally into a modern interior, without limiting the impact of music, films or multichannel soundtracks.
BMR technology: wide and immersive sound dispersion
The MSX 20 is based on a distinctive technology from Cambridge Audio : two BMR radiators, or Balanced Mode Radiator. These drivers combine the operation of a dynamic loudspeaker with dispersion through bending waves, distributing sound more evenly throughout the room. The result is a wider and more enveloping soundstage than that of a conventional speaker, without requiring a strictly defined listening position. As one of the two radiators is exclusively dedicated to the bass range, the speaker gains depth and authority while preserving detail clarity.
A versatile, robust and perfectly controlled design
Its great installation flexibility allows the MSX 20 to be used vertically or horizontally, on a shelf, table, stand or directly on the wall. It can therefore serve as a stereo speaker, surround satellite or centre channel in a multichannel home cinema system. Its rigid cabinet, reinforced with die-cast aluminium elements, helps reduce distortion and better control the lower end of the spectrum. With an impedance of 8 ohms and compatibility with 25 to 200-watt amplifiers, it easily integrates into many home audio configurations.
