Designed for businesses seeking a convincing balance between quality, productivity and cost control, the Ricoh SP-2240N turns everyday digitization into a simple and seamless process. Despite its compact size, this duplex scanner reaches 40 pages or 80 images per minute and features an 80-sheet automatic feeder, ideal for quickly processing contracts, invoices, customer files or administrative documents. Its Gigabit Ethernet connection makes sharing between several users easy, while the DirectScan function lets you send files directly to a network folder or FTP server, without using a computer. Versatile, it handles both standard documents and plastic cards, thick paper, long pages and folded A3 documents using a carrier sheet. Ultrasonic double-feed detection and real-time image monitoring also help secure your most important originals.
Smart technologies at the service of quality
The SP-2240N relies on PFU Clear Image Capture technology to produce sharp, detailed images that are especially well suited to optical character recognition. Its intelligent processing automatically corrects orientation, detects paper size, straightens pages and removes blank sheets to deliver files that are immediately usable. Its next-generation iiGA SoC processor also ensures advanced image processing during DirectScan scanning, while maintaining high throughput. On the software side, PaperStream ClickScan simplifies one-off tasks through button or context-menu launch, while PaperStream IP, compatible with TWAIN and ISIS, automatically optimizes wrinkled, stained or complex-background documents. PaperStream Capture completes this environment with efficient batch-scanning and document workflow integration features. Finally, its more responsible design incorporates more than 25% recycled plastic in the main device resins, as well as recycled materials and molded pulp elements in its packaging.
