This StarTech.com USB-C Thunderbolt 5 cable connects two Thunderbolt-compatible devices via USB-C connectors to simultaneously transfer data, video and power. It is designed for professional environments and workstations that require unique and reliable connectivity between computers, docking stations, monitors or external storage solutions. Its 1 m length is suitable for compact office installations. The cable supports the Thunderbolt 5 standard with bidirectional bandwidth up to 80 Gbps, expandable to 120 Gbps in Boost mode depending on usage. It supports up to 240 W of power via USB Power Delivery, allowing compatible laptops to be charged while data is being transferred. Support for DisplayPort 2.1 Alt Mode enables high resolutions of up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 240Hz with DSC and HDR.
This cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB4 standards, ensuring extensive compatibility with existing equipment. Its design incorporates internal shielding and connectors designed for repeated use to ensure stable transmission of data, video and power signals over a single cable.
