Thermaltake View 290 TG ARGB

More rounded, more modern, more aesthetic and more irresistible from a design point of view, the Thermaltake View 290 TG ARGB gives you a host of possibilities for putting together the high-performance configuration you need. Watercooling compatible and already featuring 3 120 mm fans with ARGB backlighting (in side and rear positions), it will provide an ideal environment for your components. It is equipped with two tempered glass panels (one of which is curved on the front and joins the side panel) and will be perfect for installing your motherboard, whether it's in Mini-ITX, Micro ATX, ATX or E-ATX format.

Numerous opportunities

The Thermaltake View 290 TG ARGB mid-tower chassis is highly expandable. It can support a CPU cooler up to 180 mm high, a graphics card up to 450 mm long and a power supply up to 200 mm long.

Optimised for excellent cooling capacity, the case comes with a 120 mm ARGB Lite fan at the rear and two ARGB Lite Reverse fans positioned on the right-hand side. In addition, it offers the option of installing up to 3 x 120 mm or 2 x 140 mm fans on the top section, up to 2 x 120 mm fans on the right-hand side and up to 3 x 120 mm fans above the power supply area. For watercooling radiator compatibility, it can support a radiator up to 360 mm on the top section.

    Impeccable design and ventilation, but limited for SSDs

    I chose the Thermaltake View 290 TG ARGB (black) in anticipation of my next configuration, and I really don't regret my choice. The case is superb, with its tempered glass and integrated ARGB fans that make it look great. Assembly is easy, cable management is well thought out, and air circulation is excellent, with room for watercooling or several extra fans.

    Highlights:
    Elegant design (tempered glass + ARGB included)
    Very good cooling, 360 mm AIO compatible
    Well laid-out interior (vertical GPU possible)

    Weaknesses:
    Limited storage: only 2 SSDs or 2 3.5" HDDs. I added a rack to accommodate 2 SSDs and 1 HDD.

    To sum up: if you don't need a lot of storage, this is an excellent choice, as beautiful as it is practical.
