A screen that suits me perfectly
After refurbishing my office, it was time to buy a monitor, mainly for gaming and photo editing.
With the plethora of choices on the market, I hesitated for a long time.
Incurved or not; 27", 32", 34"; HD, QHD, UHD, ...
Then came the time to read the tests available in the specialist press and user reviews.
In the end, it's more confusing than anything else, because you read everything and its opposite.
Having always had Samsung screens and always been happy with them, the choice of brand was made.
In the end, I opted for this G6 32" and I'm completely satisfied.
It's a real pleasure to play with, with very correct colourimetry from the factory, really deep blacks and bright colours that are very flattering on the eyes when gaming, and perfect G-SYNC compatibility (even though it's not officially compatible).
The sound isn't exceptional, but it's not bad either, for want of an alternative delivery system.
The CoreSync and Core-Lightning functions are gimmicky but do their bit when you're playing in a dark environment.
The 'connected TV' functions, while not very useful to me, are a real plus when it comes to avoiding having to invest in several screens (for kot students, for example). The same goes for the automatic source switch, which makes it easy to switch from PC to console. The remote control supplied is very useful.
I found the connectivity on offer to be very comprehensive, with DP 1.4, 2 HDMI 2.1, WiFi 5, BT 5.2, RJ45 and 2 USB 3.0. On the other hand, all the tests I've seen on the net mention or show a USB-b to USB-A cable supplied with the screen. This is not the case for the European version of this monitor. (Thanks to LDLC, who provided me with one as a gesture of goodwill).
All in all, a very good companion for my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.
