Really great quality from WD. I was able to transfer/clone an old SSD with Windows on it to a new mxhine. The PC boots as if it had eaten chilli.
More than enough for a gaming setup. I felt that upgrading to Gen 5 was both premature and unnecessary in my case. In fact, the difference in loading time for a game between the last 3 generations of NVMe is really negligible (around 2-3 seconds). Perhaps it will be a different story once game developers incorporate DirectStorage. I chose this WD Black SN850X 4Tb, because in addition to gaming, I want to be able to edit videos and move large files often without having to wait forever. And 4TB because the size of video games is going to increase and I wanted to give myself a bit of headroom.
Provide a heatsink. In my case, I have a Gigabyte motherboard with just the right amount of heat protection. What's more, Western Digital has never let me down (my HDD, which is now 16 years old, still works fine!). You can't go wrong with this SSD, it's considered to be one of the best this year.
