I have been using this mouse every day for 4 years, 8 to 10 hours a day. Today it is on its last legs, the right click works every other time. It worked well, with the buttons on the left side, the button on the top, the two clicks, for office work and gaming. The scroll wheel is smooth and quiet. I give 3 stars because I find that four years of lifespan is really short given its price.
The mouse currently on sale is an 'improved' version of the old one, with precise controls except for the 'detentless' scroll wheel: in this configuration, it's possible to let the scroll wheel turn for page scrolling, which is good for office use but bad for gaming... Except that, at the price of the mouse, it's obviously for gaming!
I've got 3 of them and the first for nearly 10 years. It's wired, doesn't need batteries, robust (there's one in my everyday work bag), comfortable, side buttons, very good precision. I like the fact that it's a bit big to rest my palm on.

the logitech g209 rgb is very good it's 5 stars.
the m500s is good for office use, for gaming on the other hand the scroll wheel is really too sensitive.
