Magnesium at the heart of the process

The driver membrane of the Focal Clear MG headphones is made of magnesium for increased lightness and better damping in combination with the "M" shape of the dome. The result is a dynamic, detailed and balanced sound. With its open design, these high fidelity circum-aural headphones will deliver their potential for pure listening at home. The honeycomb grilles provide an even more open soundstage.

Natural elegance

Elegant lines and noble materials make the Clear MG headphones an object of the highest quality. Perforated microfiber earpads ensure a wider sound stage, while theleather and microfiber-covered headband optimizes your listening comfort.

Two detachable cables are supplied with the Focal headphones in addition to a carrying case and a 3.5/6.35mm jack adapter. Benefit from a balanced XLR 4-pin Y cable of 3 meters and an unbalanced Jack 3.5 mm Y cable of 1.2 meters.

    Incredible audiophile sound

    The headphones are broken in and coupled to my Creative Sound Blaster AE-9 sound card via a 6.35mm jack on its DAC, set to direct PCM 384khz 32bit mode.

    The audio or video files played back are of high quality: SACD, Hi Rez, CD quality in flac, etc. with Qobuz or MPC-HC.

    At the very beginning, the quality was already there, but it wasn't staggering when the Meze 99 Classics came out. However, after a good number of hours of use, the headphones broke in, the bass became deep, punchy and even vibrant, voices and instruments were incredibly clear and the soundstage was wide and deep!

    It also works perfectly well for films and video games! (Last of Us part 2 has an incredible sound immserion for example)

    The only fault I would have would be with the jack cable, 1.20m is too short, I would have preferred a 3m like the XLR4 supplied.

    A big bravo to Focal for this jewel!
