Proven acoustic signature
The DT 990 PRO X circum-aural studio headphones feature the proven acoustic signature of the DT 990 PRO. Ideal for monitoring, these DT 990 PRO X headphones deliver accurate and faithful listening. Its open design delivers balanced bass and treble, as well as beautiful, spatial sound reproduction.
Thanks to its Stellar.45 (48 ohm) drivers, which offer a wide frequency response from 5 to 40,000 Hz, the DT 990 PRO X headphones let you enjoy studio reference sound on a wide range of playback equipment.To achieve this, the drivers use a neodymium magnet and a voice coil made of precision copper-plated wire. The high conductivity means you can enjoy high performance. These loudspeakers keep distortion extremely low, even at high sound pressure levels. The Stellar.45 drivers have an impedance of 48 ohms and prove that low-impedance sound transducers can deliver excellent studio-quality sound.
Sound reference and comfort
The DT 990 PRO X now offers even greater flexibility thanks to its detachable cable. The headphones come with a 3m long straight cable with a lockable 3-pin mini XLR connector. This can be connected to a variety of devices via a 3.5mm stereo plug, which includes a screw-on 6.3mm adaptor.
For decades, the DT range of studio headphones has not only set the benchmark for sound, but also for comfort. As well as the robust construction of the headband, it's the iconic velvet ear cushions that ensure exceptional comfort even during long studio sessions. The flexible memory foam used in the headband allows it to adapt ergonomically to the shape of your head. The headband and ear cushions can be replaced if necessary.

Made in Germany, the DT 990 PRO X is characterised by the high production quality that Beyerdynamic has stood for for many decades. The loudspeakers are manufactured to extremely strict tolerances and measured several times during the various stages of production. The combination of robust metal parts and shock- and scratch-resistant ABS plastic makes the DT 990 PRO X a durable companion for everyday use in the studio. For durability, almost all parts of the studio headphones can be replaced.
