    Please read carefully!

I would like to point out that I have already submitted a review of the product and that this is an update of the facts.
I will start with the positives:
Now I have had the experience of the vive pro 2 for 9 months now.
I've been using it for about 9 months now and have changed my graphics card from a 1080 Ti to a 3080 Ti. I've been able to get the ultra resolution of the vive console and the image is just beautiful.
I really like this headset but Htc is the problem here.
    The negatives are heavy:
Htc's quality control is monstrously sloppy.
I had to return the headset 5 times and even today I unfortunately could not get a headset without "serious" defects.
The first time I saw like vertical line interference when I move my head, see here: https://imgur.com/Q329F0j but i learned later that a lot of vive pro 2 suffer from this symptom and you may have it and also the spurious sound in the background, so i sent it to the service it was not fixed the first time by htc and they sent it back to me saying "no worries seen", I've seen a youtuber with the same problems as me, he explains that he had his repaired so I made a second return and contacted htc and they specified and insisted that "this time" they would repair it, I received it at home 3 weeks later without tracking... Unhappy I see with ldlc for a replacement, I specified them that no matter the vertical lines and the sound I will live with it. I get a new one with 3 white spots on the screen this time and still with the same problems as before. I get a 2nd replacement with 8 white dots this time. LDLC decided to do an early exchange by testing it themselves but unfortunately they didn't detect the problem... I had a last replacement and this one has 2 white dots and a dead pixel only when the headset is at 120hz.
So good headphones but at your own risk.
Thanks for the LDLC service though.

Good helmet but too high a price for what it is...

The first time I put the helmet on my eyes I was not impressed at all. I didn't get a day/night impression compared to the original vive.
The pixels are clearly reduced so you can't see the screen door effect... very visually comparable to Quest 2 in terms of resolution.
I'm not sure how much of a problem it is to say that the pixels are totally invisible. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a screen door effect or not, but it's a good idea to have a screen door effect.
It's an LCD panel probably IPS which surprised me as I'm used to the vive and vive pro range with their superb OLED panels which deliver unrivalled brightness, contrast and colour to this day.
If you switch from a vive or vive pro you will immediately feel the lack of life in the panel, almost as if a baking paper was put in front of your eyes, everything is a bit more grey than normal with colours that pop less and that I find that it slightly breaks the immersion in "some" games only. Some simple and obvious examples, horror and low light games will suffer from this lack of contrast, on the other hand No man's sky, Boneworks, Sims game (Auto/Aero) etc... will have all the advantage of a better resolution and of the blow of a slab having sub-pixels contrary to the oled.
The headphones sound horrible compared to the deluxe audio strap of the vive, which is quite shocking coming from a headphone at 800 €.
-There is a parasitic sound in the background
    -Lack of bass
The problem can be solved with an equalizer which I would judge vive to have neglected enormously.
