I print very little and I was looking for a low cost multifunction printer to replace my HP5522 which had broken down. I was looking at the items available on LDLC and this Canon was the most affordable model at 89.95€. The price surprised me a bit, but given the general shortage of printers and the urgency, I didn't make the effort. This morning, two weeks after my purchase, I see that it is available at Canon-France for 49.49€, which is almost half the LDLC price. Hence 3 stars less.
I'm not sure if it's a good value printer, but it does what you want it to do: print and scan. Don't look for duplexing or an Ethernet socket and I hope it doesn't spend the £38 worth of cartridges on cleaning the print heads.
The software supplied is not very intuitive and you have to dig around to find the right settings.
