The Intelligent Document Capture system not only reads images, but also orients, rotates and increases image brightness for optimal clarity. Scan multiple barcodes with a single press of the shutter, or isolate the one you want from a large number of them. You can capture data from travel documents using optical character recognition (OCR). Optionally request US driving licence analysis and EAS tag deactivation. The DS4608 scanner cancapture UPC codes from up to 70 cm away, allowing checkout assistants to easily access items in a customer's shopping cart without leaving their workstation. The device incorporates an 800 MHz microprocessor, a high-resolution megapixel sensor and Zebra's proprietary PRZM intelligent technology to instantly capture bar codes, even in the most challenging conditions. Its patented design leaves enough room to read wide bar codes at any distance, far more efficiently than similar scanners with the same field of view. As a result, your assistants can focus on customers, rather than moving items.

The DS4600 Series isbuilt to last, both indoors and outdoors.IP52 sealing protects against accidental liquid spills, while a patented double-sealed optical system protects critical optical components from dust and liquids, ensuring the scanner lens always captures the sharpest possible barcode image for fast, reliable decoding. The recessed reading window is protected from stains, dust and scratches that can affect performance. And the scanner isdesigned to withstand multiple drops onto concrete from a height of 1.80m and 2,000 impact tests.
