I had a pretty bad experience with Ryzen when I last bought it, but now I've made up for it.
After a month's use, it's stable, it works well and the installation went smoothly. For a small gamer setup, it's very good!
I just wanted to be able to take advantage of PCIe 4.0 for NVMe drives.
Otherwise 16 CPUs is pretty good.
Tested with OCCT for one hour and less than 60° with a Pure Rock2 from bequiet.
Bought to run a small Proxmox server at home, the CPU is very responsive in use. With a 1 TB NVMe and a Textorm TB1 case, the machine consumes 50 W idle and 170 W full power (measured at the 230V socket). That's more power than I expected, but it's still decent.
Mind you, the CPU doesn't have an integrated GPU: I thought there was at least the minimum to allow at least the BIOS display, but in fact there really isn't, just a black screen! I found an old PCIe graphics card and managed to install the machine like that.
The product was well installed and lived up to my expectations. No particular problems after a month's use.
Frankly, a perfect combo with my 3060ti, the 5600x performs really well, especially in 1080p.
Cpu at its best Value for money too?
