A processor that is very good. It handles all everyday applications without flinching for a single second (to check emails, watch a Youtube video). It can run office apps (Libreoffice). In multitasking, it performs just as well.
I replaced my old ryzen 5 1erGen with this one, and the difference is quite noticeable. The response time is smoother, especially with encoding algorithms, and it works well with AI.
Good value for money; I don't regret my choice given my budget, so I could upgrade my hardware for Windows 11.
Having recovered a small desktop PC with a Ryzen 3 3100, this Ryzen 5 5500 gives it a huge boost again without breaking the bank for me.
In addition, LDLC service and delivery are top-notch as always!

Honestly, I built my PC in 2024 and I chose the Ryzen 5 5500 with its stock cooler (the Wraith Stealth). At first, I was a bit worried it would be too tight, but really, it’s perfect.
I’m not trying to run games in crazy 4K, I just want it to be smooth. All my games run on 'Normal' without any lag. The processor boosts nicely up to 4.2 GHz when it needs power, and the PC stays super responsive.
I am very satisfied to have invested in this processor which allowed me to update my aging config.
I wanted to rejuvenate my desktop computer and it's honestly a success. From advice before ordering to the final result, everything was easy and efficient. Thank you LDLC!

Still much more robust than a ryzen 5, I didn't think there was such a difference. It also heats up more, I don't know if my ventirade is sufficient. To be seen over time
