The backlighting is perfect and the buttons work well (the one for switching on and off and the one for changing colour). The only problem is that the mat isn't perfectly flat in places because it's not a rigid mat, but given the price I'm not complaining. Otherwise, the size is perfect.
the finishes aren't perfect, but the carpet is well made, it does what you ask of it and that's already very good, really cool for tight budgets
