Built-in Calibration Sensor
The ColorEdge CG279X is equipped with a built-in sensor that can be configured to automatically calibrate the monitor at set times. This eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device and ensures that your display stays true to colour. In addition, the monitor features the latest sensor technology, allowing you to continue using it even during recalibration. The sensor tilts on the screen, taking up little space to keep your work uninterrupted. In addition, ColorNavigator 7 software combines all the features of the previous EIZO colour management software, ColorNavigator 6 and ColorNavigator NX, to create a new and improved solution for creative work in many areas. The proprietary software simplifies calibration and produces predictable results for photography, design, printing and video creation.
Excellent colour reproduction
he wide gamut monitor faithfully reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3 standard used in digital cinema and supports the BT.2020 standard used in broadcasting. In addition, it covers 99% of the Adobe RGB colour space. This means that images shot with Adobe RGB will be displayed correctly. The wide colour gamut also ensures the reproduction of almost all ISO and US coated CMYK colour spaces used in printing. In accordance with the DCI standard, the ColorEdge CG279X offers a high contrast ratio of 1300:1 to produce true blacks that are difficult to display on a conventional LCD. In addition, a 3D LUT is included that adjusts colours individually on an RGB cube table. With the ColorNavigator 7 software emulation feature supported, designers can verify how content will appear to their audience. The 3D LUT also improves the monitor's additive colour mixing (combination of RGB), which is a key factor in its ability to display neutral greys.
A stable and uniform image
The gamma level of each ColorEdge monitor is adjusted at the factory by measuring the R, G, and B gamma values from 0 to 255, and then using the monitor's 24-bit LUT to select the most appropriate 256 tones to achieve the desired value. This ensures smoother colour gradations in your images. ColorEdge monitors are equipped with a temperature sensor to accurately measure the temperature inside the monitor and estimate the ambient temperature. With this temperature sensing and estimation technology, the monitor adjusts in real time so that gradations, colour, brightness and other characteristics continue to be displayed accurately. Variations in brightness and chromaticity on different parts of the screen are a common feature of LCD displays. ColorEdge monitors are equipped with EIZO's patented Digital Uniformity Equalization (DUE) technology, which counteracts the influences of varying temperature on colour temperature and brightness for stable image display.
Ergonomic Design
A carrying handle on the back of the monitor allows you to easily move it from one place to another. The monitor is also 20% lighter than its predecessor, weighing only 10.3kg (without the supplied cap), making it even easier to carry. The CG Series comes with a shade cap that effectively prevents reflections on the monitor screen caused by ambient lighting. The CG279X ColorEdge Shade Cap attaches magnetically to the monitor. This allows users to attach the cap quickly and easily without having to connect separate parts. Adjust the screen to the most comfortable angle and reposition it to show your work to a colleague or client. The monitor features a versatile stand that offers height, tilt and swivel adjustments. The stand also features a quick release that allows you to easily remove the screen from the stand with one touch.
