difficult choice
As I'm hyperacusic, I can't use headphones and I was "just" looking for a microphone to communicate with my friends online.
My criteria were: 1 analogue microphone (classic TRS) with 1 on/off switch.
It's clear that these 2 criteria are extremely difficult to meet in 2023.
It was the only one available that fulfilled these two functions in standard TRS.
In itself, the microphone should be fine, but as it wasn't designed for this type of use without a pre-amplifier, I had to set the volume to 100% with +10% boost.
The quality isn't obvious to the people I'm talking to, but they can hear me, and that's the main thing.
Surprisingly, in my case, the sound was a little louder on the case's microphone input than on that of the motherboard (b450 aorus elite).
The battery is compulsory for the microphone to work, even on a PC.
It's a shame not to be able to find this type of product more easily, at affordable prices and suitable for PC use.
In short, it's a bit expensive and not really suitable, but it does the job and I didn't really have any other options.
Thanks in any case to LDLC for supporting me in my approach for just a small microphone.
