The Rode VXLR adapter is a 3.5mm TRS female to XLR male adapter that adapts the phantom power supply (12 or 48V) and reduces the voltage to the 3-5V "Plug in Power" standard. This allows you to connect non-battery powered microphones to XLR connectors.
