TheOdroid HC2 is ideal for creating a NAS and compute cluster thanks to its 8-core Samsung Exynos 5422 processor and compact design. The Odroid HC2 (Home Cloud) is based on the Odroid-XU4 platform, which is specifically designed for building Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers. With your home cloud server, you centralise data and allow users to share and stream media files to their smartphones, tablets or other networked devices.
The HC2 offers a SATA III 6Gbit/S interface for 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs and SSDs connected to the processor via a USB 3 to SATA bridge. The Odroid HC2 card comes with an aluminium frame, which serves as a support for the card and the hard drive. At the same time, the frame is used as a passive cooler for the processor. Furthermore, several frames can be stacked on top of each other.
