does its job!
The only catch is that it is not recognised as an analogue Type-C headset.
I have a huawei P30 pro paired with Audio Technica headphones. The sound quality is still good. It's a bit cheaper than buying a quality type-c headset.
With the Akashi audio adapter, you can easily listen to your favourite music and charge your smartphone. It has a 3.5mm jack and a USB Type-C connector to give you plenty of options.

The charge works not the headset (or whatever) on the jack.
My phone is a Samsung note 8.
I'm very annoyed that it's not compatible with the new Ipas pro.
The worst thing is that I bought 3 of them at once. I didn't see in the description that it was not compatible.
