The software doesn't work and on the internet it doesn't work but the finger recognition works
I am a computer maintenance and support technician and I know a lot about it
I have been using it for several months now and it works very well, especially at this price! The configuration is fast and simple, you go directly through the Windows system. It's very easy to set up, you just have to press your finger and the computer unlocks itself. And you can put a finger for each session of the computer.
A few months ago I bought 2 such keys for my two PCs (desktop and development)
On the desktop PC, it worked until a week ago and the second one, never
Driver well recognised, both PCs on the latest version of W10Pro when installed and now up to date on W11Pro
Given the price and that I'm in Guadeloupe, I threw them away. Too bad
What's the point of coding a desktop application if it doesn't even work? If it was just for the driver, you might as well make it available separately.
To qualify my words I would say that the key works great coupled with windows hello, speed and reliability are there to unlock your session ...... AND THAT'S IT!
All the miracle features that the app is supposed to provide such as file encryption and decryption via the key, automatic password entry, etc... could have worked, if the app worked.

Bought for a laptop. No problems with installation.
It works and is very convenient.
But you should not hesitate to enter many records of the fingerprint, so that it is always recognised even if the finger is not placed in exactly the same way.
I'm going to buy another reader for my office computer.
No particular problem to use it only with Windows.
Install with LDLC Secure Key to validate the driver.
Sometimes need to recalibrate the fingerprint if you have too many failed connections.
The fingerprint system is only compatible with certain applications such as Windows, among others.
It does not work on all programs, websites, I wanted to replace the eternal passwords by the fingerprint recognition.

I have a brand new Windows 10 on a desktop PC, inserted the key into the usb port of an average keyboard.
I've got 3 accounts, each with a different fingerprint, and each one opens without any reading error, as long as the fingerprint registration is good, everything is fine ^^

I've been using it for a month now to open my Windows session.
It works perfectly well with Windows Hello.
I leave my finger for a fraction of a second and it recognises my fingerprint every time.
It completely does the job I've assigned it to do.
This key is useless to me, it is completely obsolete, as well as its software which crashes constantly. In short, I strongly advise against this purchase. Personally, I'm going to turn to a FIDO solution from Yubico.
