Case fan 120 mm

Overview

THE high-end solution for 120mm ventilation needs.

With its optimised airflow and outstanding acoustic performance, NF-S12A PWM Chromax is ideal for case cooling and low impedance applications. The chromax.black.swap version retains the cooling performance and quietness levels of the popular NF-S12A while offering a colour palette that combines the 100% black fan look with red, white, blue, green, yellow or black anti-vibration mounts. This makes it easy to coordinate the fan with the rest of the elements of the configuration... For further customisation, a wide range of optional vibration isolators, vibration isolators and coloured cables are also available. With a premium SSO2 bearing, an MTTF of over 150,000 hours and a 6-year manufacturer's warranty, the NF-S12A PWM chromax.black.swap is the ideal choice for users who value aesthetics as much as uncompromising quality and performance.

Coloured anti-vibration silencers

The NF-S12A PWM chromax.black.swap comes with 4 NA-AVP1 anti-vibration silencers in black, white, red, green, blue or yellow. By combining different colours with black or by choosing to leave one side of the fan without silencers, the fan can immediately be aesthetically matched to most popular colour themes.

The anti-stall protrusions reduce the flow separation phenomenon that can occur at medium or high resistance. This feature improves the stall-free operating range. As a result, the NF-S12A becomes even more versatile than its famous predecessor and offers even better performance for use on a ventirad or watercooling heat sink.

Staircase inlet design

Noctua's stepped inlet design adds turbulence to the incoming flow, allowing a gradual transition from laminar to turbulent flow. This reduces initial noise emissions, improves flow cohesion and increases suction capacity especially in environments where space is at a premium.

Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames are equipped with anti-vibration mounts and benefit from exclusive optimisations to push the limits of performance and silence even further: Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures.

Exclusive PWM integrated circuit with SCD

Compatible with PWM automated speed control systems, the chromax line fans feature the latest NE-FD1 PWM IC that incorporates Smooth Commutation Drive (SCD) technology. By generating less abrupt torque pulses, the SCD system eliminates the noise associated with PWM switching and thus ensures quieter ventilation at reduced speeds.

    ultrasilent!

I was fed up with the old Corsair fans (which are supposed to be silent).
Now I feel like I'm deaf!

    Almost perfect

It's quiet, the connections are comprehensive, and I'm taking away just one star because the price is a little excessive.

    Expensive but good investment

Really quiet and blows well, the coloured silentblocks are very practical. It feels like you're wasting the ones you don't use, but maybe they'll come in handy when the first ones wear out.

I much prefer this black look than the original and that's why I chose it. It's quite expensive but I only took one, this fan is the most robust I've seen so far and it's very satisfying in rear extraction.
