I bought it to replace a cheaper model that didn't fit properly. Unfortunately this one doesn't hold much better and you have to check the tightness every day on the car's air vent.
This bracket has three strong points. Firstly, the clamp that attaches to the vehicle's ventilation fins is fitted with rubber pads and a clamping screw to ensure a firm hold. Secondly, the ball-and-socket joint allows the mount to rotate the smartphone through 360°, as well as tilting it up and down and sideways. Last but not least, the clamp that holds the smartphone can be extended while retaining its clamping force.
Having tried other brackets, this is the best I've tested in terms of quality and functionality. I recommend it without regret.

Points to watch out for
- beware of very wide phones that will not fit
- car grill attachment is a bit wide (about 1 cm): will not fit in a tightly squared ventilation grill
