Warning!
Although this IEC C14 male to CEE7/5 female adapter is convenient, it does not comply with French electrical standards.
The phase of the IEC C14 plug is connected to the neutral of the CEE7/5 plug, while the neutral of the IEC plug is connected to the phase of the CEE plug.
For connecting a non-polarised appliance, this works, but using it with a polarised electrical or electronic appliance will fry the connected appliance (at best).
The risk of electrical fire and electric shock is real.
Fortunately, I always check my cables with a multimeter.
This dangerous product was destroyed and then disposed of at a waste disposal centre.
The defect in question is present on all three products tested.
The problem is also found on some cables and adapters of major brands.
Perfect addition to UPS, if the outputs are not in the French E/F format. Fast delivery.
This cable does its job perfectly. Connected between an inverter and a power strip (modem, router, telephone base, ...). The cable is quite short, which saves space and makes for a clean installation.
I use it on my inverters (one apc and one fsp), the CEE plug being connected to a multi-socket. It works perfectly, no play, no need to force, the short cable is enough to organize the wiring.
