Configuration of a machine to replace a CPU that smoked... In line with the dialogue on site: my specifications were perfectly taken into account: reintegration of existing elements, planned evolution, etc... Machine configured in less than 2 hours, order placed to follow, reception in LDLC shop in Niort, perfect, The machine installed (LDLC assembly with installation of Win10 64bits Pro), reconnection of the 2 screens, keyboard, mouse: start-up without concern. Just a hiccup with the activation of Windows which requires a half-hidden key (to be scratched) on the label stuck on the back of the CPU, hardly accessible under the desktop once the connections are made! Reinstalled several disks (HD and SSD) + DVD drive, reinstalled software and recovered data from backups. Very professional assembly

I am very happy with the assembly of my new PC. Everything was well done and the cable management is very good. The Windows 10 pro license was still unopened on the sticker on the back of the machine and the activation went smoothly (after a moment of not understanding that the OS had been installed with a bogus license).

Faulty hardware installation - Faulty Windows installation

I ordered a complete hardware configuration and Windows installation.
The installation of the hardware is very good, nothing to complain about. On the other hand the installation of Windows left something to be desired on 2 points:
1. The "System Reserved" partition was on a "data" disk that I wanted to mirror with a second data disk of the same model. It was impossible to move the "reserved system" partition to the "C" system disk. I had to format the "C" disk and reinstall Windows from scratch after which I had to delete the "reserved system" partition which had become useless in order to mirror my disks, I finally succeeded but I spent a lot of time on it (I am not a "system" specialist)
2. I had specifically asked that no third party software be installed, but the initial installation included Norton (which I particularly dislike), so it didn't matter as I reformatted the system disk, but my instructions were not followed.

LDLC gave me a 30€ credit note for the cost of the Windows installation by them, but this compensation is not in line with the time I spent there undoing and redoing a poorly done job.
