The HDMI 1.4 cables have been designed to meet the new HDMI consortium standard. They allow the transport of "ultra high definition" signals up to 2160p (4k) and have an Ethernet channel allowing a compatible product to access the network.

the bend would have been directed upwards, it would have been more judicious and would have prevented me from making a hole in the shelf supporting my appliance (home cinema)
but design engineers think with their feet!...
Answers the question very well, without any qualms. As for the orientation of the angled plug, you only need to look at the various views to be fully aware of the reality of things.
Unfortunately for me, this angled cable will not do me any good. The angled pin should have been the other way round because the socket on my monitor is on the bottom (so it doesn't fit) and on the computer, the same socket is under a ledge on the tower.
It's a shame! But the price is right, maybe it will be used later elsewhere!
Since hanging my TV, I found myself having to replace some of my cables (due to length and straight ends).
I wasn't necessarily looking for the best cable on the market. And so, I have to say that this one is really good.
It seems to be of good quality. My picture is as good as before. And the angled end is a real plus!
As I said in a previous comment, it would have been a real plus if it came in different sizes. 3m was a bit too much for me. But once you've got it all sorted out, no worries!
