Product matches the description, this Macbook Pro 14" replaces my aging Macbook Pro 13" from 2011. With the years of difference, it's like night and day. Mac OS Tahoe works perfectly and in this configuration I have noticed no slowdown to date despite intensive use. We’ll see how the battery ages over time but very happy with my purchase, I recommend it

I ordered this Mac for work and frankly I am not disappointed with the product, it can do everything I am conquered, I had already had another MacBook several months ago but this one nothing to do.
I switched from a 2019 Intel Mac to M4 technology. I can finally work with 2 to 4 programs open at the same time. No more overheating, no more sluggish computers... A welcome change of direction. The salesman was very professional and friendly, and took my constraints into account to give me the best advice.
This MacBook Pro replaces my previous one, which dated from 2015 ... so the right one is very important.

I was worried that the screen would be too small, but 14 inches is the ideal compromise between a 13-inch and a 16-inch for travelling. The speakers are surprisingly powerful, which is impressive for a device of this size. Battery life is exceptional, I can easily use it all day without having to charge it. Fingerprint unlocking, payments and website authentication are incredibly convenient. The Apple ecosystem is impressive, with all my devices seamlessly interconnected, creating a seamless and magical user experience.
A monster with its M4 pro chip and 48 GB of ram for someone who does programming and machine learning.
The battery is incredible and the design is worthy of a high-quality Apple product: you feel like you're holding something premium in your hands.
I'm sure it will be my companion for a long time to come!

I took the 16-inch M4 Pro version and I can tell you that it makes you forget what the definition of the word "slow" is.
It doesn't slow down at all, even with intensive tasks such as compiling, AI and video editing... And all this on a battery that easily lasts a day!
In short, it's perfect!

After 10 years of using a previous Mac book pro, the simplicity, efficiency and speed of access to the various applications are a real pleasure with this new version of Mac book pro 2024 and its new M4 chip.
Very happy with my computer. Less so about the sales methods of LDLC who made me take out AppleCare insurance, forgetting to explain that there were additional charges of €99 for repairing a damaged screen or external case or €259 for any other intervention. I discovered these charges in the attachments sent by Apple. That's really low.
The MAC BOOK Pro is a real computer, for professionals and students alike.

As a long-time user of Apple hardware (MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPad, iMac), I've come to appreciate the brand's quality. The quality of the materials, but also the software. I spend hours on these machines and it's always a pleasure. I'm delighted with this new 14" MacBook Pro. The magsafe 3 plug is far superior to the old USBC power supply in that it holds up better. It seems to me that the operation generates less heat and that the battery capacity is therefore greatly increased by the new generation CPU.
As ever, Apple has succeeded with its MacBook Pro, offering impressive power and a truly amazing battery.
Whether you're simply watching a film or working in the office, editing photos or even playing certain games, this is the right choice.
Apple did sell its M4 Max for CPU/GPU intensive work.
I was going to use this MacBook for generative AI on premises. The same RAG python/langchain/qdrant application with small LLMs like mistral-nemo (7.1 GB ram) performs less well on this M4 Max than on my Ubuntu 22 i7-Gen13 32GB RAM / RTX4070 PC, which only has 12 GB of GPU memory!
What's more, the GPU temperature soars to 100°C after less than 2 minutes of inference, so you have to use Macs Fan Control to turn the fans all the way up...
Inexploitable of Generative AI in local seriously.
I hear that the real advantage of the 16" is that it's less compact and handles GPU cooling better. But in January 2025, who knew?
And of course, the trade-in policy is right under my nose, the time it takes to install and run tests is well over 14 days... Disgusted ....
I needed to replace my 13" Intel Mcbook from 2011, which had become obsolete despite working flawlessly. I've done it with the new 14" M4 chip. Received ahead of schedule, transferred the data, got to grips with it, everything went smoothly, without stress and the speed of operation is incredible. I don't regret the investment, even though it's particularly high. If I compare it with the professional PC my company requires, there's no comparison! I hope it works as well and for as long as the previous McBook.

What's more, the size of the screen means I don't need to add another monitor.
The processor is particularly powerful for video editing.

The MacBook Pro meets my needs perfectly. It's powerful, reliable and allows me to run virtual machines without any problems. Whether in terms of performance or thermal management, it holds its own very well and shows no signs of weakness. In short, it does exactly what I want it to do, without compromise.
Everything you've read about these new MacBook Pros is true: they're real little bombs, ultra-efficient, durable and silent. I change my Mac every 5 to 7 years on average. I wasn't too keen on the previous one (it still had an Intel chip in it). This one makes me feel like I'm rediscovering my job!

Having previously had a MacBook Pro 2019 with an Intel chip, I decided to switch to the M4 Pro chip.
After a week's use it's a real war machine, often using the Adobe suite with Première and After I've had no lag whatsoever. The battery is more than surprising, it lasts a whole day with intensive use, so you can work outdoors without worrying about it.
