The ideal space-saving case with USB 3 and USB C connectors. Don't overlook the 80plus gold power supply, which is just right for a Ryzen 5.
I was looking to build a machine that would be discreet, economical and take up very little space.
It's a bit of a flop:
- the case itself is OK, although you have to be careful when assembling it as the steel bends easily
- the integrated 'gold' power supply would have been a big plus if it hadn't been so noisy: even when the case is closed, all you can hear is the turbine.
First of all I would like to salute the quality of the Sav ldlc. After a first defective copy I was able to get a new one the same day in exchange.
The case is attractive and compact. It can be placed vertically or horizontally. The usb-c port is interesting in itself, but generally you buy this kind of case to mount a small office configuration and mATX motherboards with an internal usb-c port are rare and expensive. So I don't think it's really relevant.
The power supply is silent, although I deplore the lack of an on-off switch. I appreciate that it comes as standard with the case.
The case is pretty cheap overall, the metal bends easily. I would have liked a rear fan slot, but you can always make a mod on the pci strips with a 60mm fan.
LDLC should modify the product sheet and clearly stipulate the need to integrate a low-profile processor fan if you want to use the bay for a CD player or ssd sata slot. The original AMD fan won't fit! There's a 55mm gap between the motherboard and the sata/CD drive bay. So you'll have to opt for a ventirad with a lower height.
In conclusion, I recommend it for an office configuration. The price is slightly too high given the disadvantages mentioned above.
A good little box in terms of value for money! The integrated power supply is also very practical.
The only drawback is the lack of precision regarding the narrow space between the motherboard and the edge of the case at the USB2 connection, as well as the very small size of the DVD drive, which does not allow for the inclusion of traditional models (i.e. the most common desktop and laptop sizes).
I can't give the maximum mark to this very nice box although I would have liked it. Indeed, if the promise is there - a nice little box with power supply and complete connectivity - the assembly is a (white) hell. No manual included, so you have to refer to the pdf document to download here; a well-made and exhaustive manual, but which lacks clear illustrations in the most delicate part of the assembly (the disc tray and the optical drive flap). So you have to dismantle everything, lever out two metal tabs and understand that the two screws on either side of the drive are only for support, not for fixing. After a few sweats and a little patience, the result is there: beautiful and compact. So if, like the law, you like difficulty and dream of Lego every night, this pretty box is for you. But if you are in a hurry, don't bother.
Note that everything is provided, including the numerous screws (of only two kinds).
For LDLC, it's the best as usual. Quickly ordered, quickly arrived!
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the service. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the service.
