I bought this Mac to replace an old MacBook pro 11.3. The powerful processor and long-lasting battery make it an indispensable tool. I use it for film editing. Well done Apple and the LDLC salesman who advised me.
It's a really powerful machine that's absolutely brilliant, and the screen is incredibly well calibrated - just what we love!

I don't regret my purchase, the only downside is that the apple doesn't light up on this one... it loses a bit of its charm.

It's a great computer, very fast, easy to use. It looks good. It doesn't lag, like all the Macs I've had, but this one is particularly smooth due to its super powerful processor. I'm really happy with it.
I'm not sure if this is a good product or not, but I'm sure it's not.
This Macbook pro is in the end way too expensive for what it is, but nothing surprising in the brand...
This MacBook does what I bought it for, I use it for my professional activity (Web Development) and I have to work with programs such as Docker, VS Code, several browsers and tabs open at the same time, etc...
Despite its high price, it is a joy to use every day. Power and autonomy at the rendezvous.

I'm not sure what to say about the laptop itself, but if you're in the music business like I am, WAIT and definitely DON'T buy it. Unless you need a Mac right away and can't wait (or if you like to hurt yourself). There are 26 pages on the Apple forums of users all complaining about the same thing and everywhere else on the net. Not ready for music production.
Indeed, most of the plugins are not at all optimized for the Apple chip and it's a big disappointment at this level: high CPU resources, clicks and audio pops... in short, it's a mess (and yet these plugins are certified M1 native). Developers are not at all up to speed on this new CPU architecture.
Moreover, you will still have to install Rosetta 2. Yes, our dear developers offer native M1 plugins but the installer is not yet compiled for M1 so if you don't install Rosetta, you can't install the native plugin either. Great job by the developers....
And for plugins that are not yet ready for the Apple chip (there are tons of them), you'll have to go through Rosetta 2 as well + launch your DAW (Logic Pro or other) in Rosetta mode as well, so emulated.
I don't know about you, but personally I regret this purchase and I should have kept my 27 inch Intel iMac from 2020 which was the top of the range model and I never had any problems with any audio plugins.

It's perfect for mobile application development and video editing. It's a great device for mobile application development and video editing. It does what it's asked to do without any problem, I hesitated with the mac studio but the beautiful screen of this macbook and the astronomical price of the studio display convinced me to take this model and I don't regret it.

The macbook also has enough power to run some games to pass the time occasionally but does not replace my 5 year old gamer pc in terms of gaming performance.
I've been using MacBook Pros for more than 10 years on a daily basis for work and as a personal computer. This new generation is the most impressive in terms of performance, but especially in terms of autonomy and silence. On the previous generations, we were used to the noise of the fans as soon as the smallest task was executed (sometimes just a video call...), and the battery melted quite quickly (it's impossible to imagine a day of work using office and internet software without charging the machine at least once).
The new 14" MacBook Pro M1 is impressive for an ARM machine, because in addition to the silence (I never heard the fans despite launching a Windows virtual machine, games like World Of Warcraft or development software), the autonomy is excellent! I easily lasted 5 hours running my Windows 11 ARM virtual machine and games inside (performance is very good for dual emulation in Windows - x86 to ARM - and then on the Mac via Windows virtualisation). Moreover, I can easily work a whole day without recharging (the fast charging is very nice by the way!), and I'm not afraid of not finding a plug when I have to take the TGV or the plane.
In conclusion: don't hesitate to take the plunge (that was my case before switching to this Mac), the time saving and comfort of use provided by this new M1 architecture is a must. It's hard to go back to the previous generations for me.

I ordered it as a replacement for my old 2011 MBP, and it finally has all the connections that were abandoned for several years. The return also of the magsafe, (which saved the life of my previous one many times). A beautiful screen, despite the notch that has not yet totally convinced me, but which knows how to make you forget. A fluidity and a speed amazing. Despite its price I am delighted with this acquisition

It's a Mac, which is no exception to the rule! Conforming to all the promises made by the manufacturer, it provides a user experience in continuity.
On some points, the improvements are notable (no more TOUCHBAR and adapters),
The connectivity is in the hair, etc.. The design is not so thin, and gives a feeling of solidity while being sophisticated.
The applications and other package managers run without problems so far. BIG SURPRISE!!! IPAD applications are running on it !!!!
In short, as a graphic designer/developer, this machine is perfect for me as I work on several levels of a project.

In 2018, I had thought big ordering a mbp 15 core i9 /32gb memory.
I was disappointed in the long run, then I took last year a mbp 13 M1 8GB, where I had as much comfort and more autonomy for the use I make of my machine.
I could be cramped with 8gb, I must say that I am in heaven with this mbp 14 M1 16gb.
It's been a treat for the past 2 weeks.
Ldlc has been efficient as usual.
