Hi. Bought it for a new "modern" setup. Black, understated, sleek: it suits me perfectly, no need for a Christmas tree. I was able to fit a CM ATX and a 360mm liquid cooling system (at the front). Smaller than my old case, but now I only have 2.5" SSDs and/or M2s. Plenty of room to install everything.
Fairly quiet, but there's room for improvement. This comes from the 360mm radiator and its 3 fans (another purchase). The vibrations are transmitted, and if the case is pressed against a piece of furniture, it acts as a sound box.
Silent blocks will need to be added later. The fans provided are a bit noisy.
Easy to open and close without a screwdriver (great!). Perfect connectors on top: USB 2 and 3 type A (4), USB C (1), headphone and microphone jacks.

I was looking for a sober, well-finished case, and I got what I wanted!
The construction is solid and practical, and this is a high-quality case.
Very good quality case. I already had a Define R5, but this one differs in that it's a little more compact, and there's no 5"25 slot or front door. Other than that, you get thick, solid steel and all the benefits of the brand, such as top cable routing for cable management, hand screws all over the place, dust filters and customisation to suit everyone's needs. The front panel is made of brushed aluminium with a black tint, which is both attractive and sober.
The cage for 3.5" hard disks is a little tight (2 slots), but these days between SDD and NVMe, traditional hard disks are less common.
Beware that the case is not very wide, the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 is just 1mm wide. Be sure to check the size of fans and graphics cards accepted in the product description.
Delivery on time, coli and box ok
meets the requirements perfectly, but may not be suitable for certain motherboards as the bottom is raised on the front part
a sober, quality product with a good finish
it's bulky on the outside, but necessary if you're using high-performance components, like the graphics card and a good CPU heatsink/fan.
on the negative side, the space at the back is a bit tight to accommodate cables, so it's a bit cramped!
average price with good delivery times,
recommended product,
Having bought the Fractal Design 5 version 10 years ago, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the workmanship. It has hardly changed since then...
With this version 7, the quality is still there with some notable evolutions:
- the dust filter "underneath" is now accessible from the front panel
- the openings of the different panels are even simpler
- the interior organisation is impeccable
- the connectors on the front panel are as practical as ever.
- the supplied fans are (reasonably) quiet
The only downside (which annoyed me a lot) is that there are no screws to attach an M2 SSD. I had to get a thin screw from an old graphics card to be able to fix the SSD properly. At this price level, it's really a shame...
Very satisfied with this box. So obviously it's beautiful, but that's not what will raise my grade. Because tastes and colours...
The finish is impeccable. The two fans blow well and are quiet.
I'm taking two stars off because the cable management wasn't that obvious. The part where you hide everything is not very thick. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the cable management system, but it's a good idea to use the cable management system to make sure that the cable management system is working properly.
But I still managed to do it.
The temperatures took a little while to come down. I was just coming off a bench...
I received this box very quickly and it is as I expected. It's very quiet and well laid out, allowing for good organisation of cables and connections inside.
