The result is very good,
After 50 degrees and more under load, the temperature dropped by 10° on each drive,
Now the disks are at less than 35° and 40° respectively.
The case is well ventilated, which may help.
Be careful when fitting the rubber bands supplied, they are fragile and I broke one.
The thermal pads are easy to fit.
Inexpensive, a good investment
After installing a second Gigabyte Aorus NVMe Gen4 1Tb SSD on my Asus TUF 17 Gaming, I noticed that the original Samsung 512GB SSD was getting much hotter than this new drive (65° in normal operation for the Samsung with much higher peaks...), hence some concerns about its longevity. So I bought this cooler which is the thinnest with its 5 mm thickness, wondering if it would fit in the laptop shell, a concern shared by the LDLC salesman! Well yes, it does fit without any problem and my Samsung is now running at about 50° (temperature confirmed by ChrystalDiskInfo as I write this review), which is -15° compared to the initial situation.
This is a really great disipator.
It's very easy to install, small enough to fit underneath an RTX 3090 in my case so it's really handy. It's very light and the alloy looks good.
Without tower ventilation the SSD did not exceed 60°C after 1 hour of writing at 70% usage when installing programs on the SSD (with a room temperature of 27°C)
And once the ventilation of the tower is activated in automatic it does not exceed 55°C and stagnates between 45 and 50°C during the use (however it is hot at the moment)
So really a very good product for the low price
There's no better way to install a cooler near a graphics card without being in the way or blocked!
The cooler is thin, and fits easily everywhere.
I was able to lower the temperature of my nvme by about 10 degrees, which is not bad at all. It now works between 30 and 42 T°c.
It may not be the most efficient but it's good enough for me.
supplied with a kind of double-sided (thermal silicone), but which can be removed quite easily and 2 rings on each side to make this heatsink adhere and hold to the disk, instructions included. The drive is maintained at a temperature of 36°C (WD SSD BLUE SN570). Conforms to the description on the site.
Delivery ok, packaging perfect.
Already mounted on 2 M.2 SSDs, the temperature remains contained for the moment (to be seen in the middle of summer). The few degrees (a little more than a dozen) gained allow us to hope that the SSD will always work at its best and will last longer.
For increased efficiency, remove the label on the M.2 SSD to promote heat exchange. This should be done carefully. Beware in this case of the loss of warranty of the M.2 SSD in case of problem.
Mounted on a Crucial 1TB, MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS motherboard, my SSD doesn't go above 39° ( Measurements made on AIDA 64 Extreme ).
This product is really essential for your M2 disk, my disk being delivered without radiator at the launching of the PC displayed 52 degrees, installation of ICY box and hop we pass at once to 36 degrees.
I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the M2 as a heat sink.
I'm not sure why I'm selling M2's without this radiator, manufacturer makes your price with this radiator automatically
Really perfect
30°C at rest
Easy to install, matches the description.
My samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB at rest is at 30°.
In load (end of samsung benchmark) 63°C a bit high but fans in silent mode in the tower so not bad.
Re-test at 36°C with the tower in max fan mode, the disk stabilizes at 46°C, so -17°C when ventilating during the benchmark (it is 21°C in the room)
But no figures without the radiator.
Installed on a 1TB Crucial P5 equipped with a vague thermal tape to dissipate the heat.
It went from 58°C to 48°C at rest and from 67°C to 58°C in intensive use.
Easy installation, the thermal adhesive supplied should allow the radiator to be held in place on its own, however elastic clamps (perhaps a little thin) are supplied. We'll have to see how they hold up over time.
In short, a very good product that does the job.
Almost no gain in temperature drop. Currently 28° in the room and the ssd samsung NVME at rest is at 49° in load prolonged it rises to more than 70°. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to invest in a model equipped with a fan.
