As always with Samsung SSDs, the quality is there. Admittedly, it's not as fast as the 990, but I use it as a gaming SSD, and it runs all my games without latency, slowdown or bugs. In particular, I'm running Cyberpunk 2077 in ultra, at full speed, with no problems whatsoever.
2TB should be standard in all PCs by 2024....
I needed an SSD for my work on Unreal Engine, in order to load my scenes more quickly and synchronise my files more quickly. The SSD was delivered quickly and did its job perfectly.

Very easy to install
I just had to update my BIOS before installing Windows, but otherwise everything works perfectly. The hard drive is very fast and doesn't heat up at all.
At the time (August 2019), this 3.5GB/s SSD was a real killer, and it's still one of my main boot drives on my workstation!

Used as a replacement for a 2TB HDD, this NVMe is dazzling in its read and write speeds, not to mention the gain in silence. I'd strongly recommend making the switch whenever possible. I don't doubt for a second that a system installed on it will be very fluid.
Bought for my main computer, this SSD is very good value for money.
Yes, it's only PCIe 3.0, but it's better to have a 3.0 with a sustained speed than a PCIe 4.0 that collapses after a big acceleration (cheap PCIe 4.0 from a well-known brand).
You can also find cheaper 2TB SSDs in PCIe 3.0, but:
-Most are in nand QLC, and that, over time, is clearly not great... QLC nand is much more fragile, and should be avoided for a system SSD (I've already paid the price lol), and should only be used for storage.
-Another point is that a large proportion of cheaper SSDs have no cache: it's cheaper OK, but it ruins performance (by a lot).
Samsung software can be downloaded and is not bad, cloning is very easy.
Of course if you're a pro you don't need it, but it's well thought out all the same.
One star less for having made savings on a maintenance screw and the limited documentation, from a big company like Samsung it's petty.
It's all this that made me choose this SSD, and I'm VERY happy with my choice after several weeks of intensive use.

I was lucky enough to get it for 89€. I'll have to wait and see, but it's a Samsung ssd, so there shouldn't be any surprises. It's better to have a heatsink, it goes up quickly to 45-47deg, nothing serious it's made for, but with a small heatsink you're back down to 32-35deg.

This second SSD supports the main one, a Crucial P1 M.2 PCIe NVMe 1TB, and it seems perfect for the job.
It's easy to install and so far looks effective. The software you can download from the site does the job efficiently.

I ordered the complete PC assembly without the Windows installation and frankly everything was fine, I have nothing to say about it, it was very well organised and the customer service I spoke to before the purchase was very good.
Once installed without difficulty in the extra M2 slot available on my new "Lenovo" laptop, this component works very well, in accordance with the very good reputation of Samsung SSDs. It is reserved for the use of my personal data, and is already filled to almost half its capacity, and the multiple tests carried out in this beginning of use are all satisfactory.
On the other hand, it's not to Samsung's credit to say that these M2 SSDs are all pretty good right now, whatever the brand, and that more extensive tests (which I have neither the capacity nor the desire to do) would be needed to decide between them.
The same goes for the endurance, nothing else to do for the basic user but wait, trusting here again to Samsung quality...

The DLC advisor gave me the necessary details to choose the right hard drive and the delicate way to insert it in the laptop, I still had to do some research and watch one or two tutorials to make sure I didn't do anything wrong and indeed I was able to place it, the only problem that occurred was the recognition of the hard drive at the beginning so there again I had to do some research so it could be recognized and everything went well

GOOD PRODUCT THAT I ADVISED For those who do not have PCI E 4.0
I use this disk to store my work documents, often quite heavy (audio, video...) The processing speed is excellent, a little less than on my system disk (a 980, the higher range from the same manufacturer), but infinitely better than with a hard disk. One could almost forget that one is handling files.
Installation is easy. It should be noted that the drive heats up a lot compared to other SSDs, which can trigger alarms when monitoring using standard thresholds. It is common to have +30 °C compared to the ambient temperature at no load, and at least 10 °C higher at load. However, this is not a problem, according to Samsung's service department these temperatures are quite normal; the device has thermal protection anyway. The drive is designed to work without an additional heatsink, and indeed I gained a few degrees by removing the one on my motherboard.
Good product, fast, does not heat up. You have to think about installing "Samsung Magician" for the operation.
