The SSD is easy to set up. Performance for my games doesn't seem to have dropped and I was able to install the main ones without reaching saturation point.
I hesitated between taking a larger non ssd drive for pure storage, and then finally thinking about the needs, it turns out that despite the higher price the comfort is still much higher and the reliability is there.

This product works very well, no problems to report and always as quickly as possible.

In my experience the cache is about 20GB, I bought it to store my games but for transfers and installations it's just very slow past that data threshold; and when I say slow it's not that it goes back to HDD speed ( ~50mo/s ), no, it goes down to ~3mo/s, stabilises at ~15mo/s then there you go, with peaks of not even 5seconds at 400mo/s then back up again.
My use case is specific, so you may not be affected if you transfer small files.

Used as secondary storage in my configuration, this BX500 does the job perfectly. It's silent, responsive and offers good speeds for office files, undemanding games or personal files.
