EXCELLENT: 1TB SSD perfect in every way: price and quality

MX500 1TB installation on a 17" Toshiba C670-17H laptop purchased from LDLC in 2012: W7.1, Intel I3, 500GB Objectives: Replace the HDD due to its 6 years of age with intensive use before a potential crash in order to gain in speed and to double the disk surface to 1TB. Disappointed

Bought as a replacement for Veloceraptor which had a SMART problem, I used this SDD for 11 months before it totally stopped working with my 11 months of work on it plus about 800GB of another drive, so much for lost work. This is the first time I've used an SSD so I asked around and it seems that the problem with this technology is that it stops working without warning, so it's a good fast and quiet drive but you need to have a backup solution as it could cost you a lot more than the price you pay.
