As a replacement for my old ssd which ended its life after 10 years, this Kingston SSD does the job very well, fast, nothing to say.
This isn't the first time I've handled an SSD for Windows 10. Barely two hours after I bought it, I installed it in place of a 128GB, disk manager, and then a strange message appeared. I created my volume, did a quick NTFS formatting, and then it refused and switched to normal formatting which jammed at 40% (from 39 to 40 in almost two minutes compared to less than 5 seconds for the others). This is a brand to avoid, as with USB sticks, it's the only brand that gave me problems. I'm lucky, bought today at 4.30pm, brought back tomorrow at 10am at the opening. Put a few euros more for a better quality model.

I bought it to replace an SSD with a 5 year old OS. Very happy with my purchase and the PC is much faster.
In addition to an SSD that is too small, it is used to store games, is responsive, doesn't heat up much, cool price, but it's too early for the lifespan, old PC, Intel 2500K, Asus P8, NVIDIA card. Asus P8, 1650 NVIDIA Recognised in the bios but not on the computer, after a trip to the disk management everything is back in order.

This is the fourth Kingston A400 that I have bought, a sign that I trust this SSD.
Like all media of this type, writes have to be limited, which is admittedly very inconvenient.
However, the comfort of being able to move your laptop without risking damage to your HDD is priceless! :)

I wanted to use this 480GB SSD to replace my 100GB system SSD, I tried everything, even mounting it on another tower, impossible to get it recognized to boot on this disk. this is not a good plan...
When used on an MSI all-in-one, it works perfectly well and allows the full performance of the computer to be used.
It's all in the title, the ssd does its job quietly. it's light and doesn't heat up too much when used.

The drive was received in LDLC packaging without any dents or openings, Kingston reseller packaging was fine. But after opening the manufacturer's packaging, crush marks and bent metal visible on the back of the hard drive at the connectors.
I needed it urgently, so I tested it and used it as is. Fortunately it works... But I won't be buying Kingston again.
Bought to replace a mechanical hard drive in a laptop that is a bit old. I cloned it with easeus Todo Backup software and it's perfect. It runs flawlessly. Kingston's reputation is well established.

The SSD does its job perfectly, I bought it to replace a HDD on a 10 year old laptop. I bought it to replace a HDD on a 10 year old laptop, cloned the HDD with Macrium, replaced the hard drive and it was done. The PC boots up in less than 30 seconds (compared to several minutes before) and all software now launches almost instantly.
The product itself is excellent, and the use of the Terra 1749 micro laptop is greatly improved. However, this SSD does not come with the cloning software. We had to go and look for it on the internet. The only software available is the AOMEI Partition Assistant, which is a shame. If you want to have all the features, you have to pay the license.
I live in Polynesia and the delivery time is very good, 10 days. The SSD is exactly what I was looking for, fast, efficient for the price, excellent value for money for my family computer.

Works very well under Devuan GNU/Linux 2 Ascii (equivalent to Debian 9 Stretch). As a precaution I first tried to update the firmware of the SSD, but it was already up to date with the latest version available.
The only drawback is that the firmware verification and update software is only available for Windows.

The disk works, it's fast when launching the PC or applications. But big random and inexplicable lags. The system crashes for one to three seconds and everything starts again...
I tested everything: reinstallation, TRIM, change of scheduler, kernel update...
LDLC replaced the first disk for me. Same with the second one....
I switched to a Samsung EVO and since a week it's just happiness!

Not much to say about the SSD except that it works perfectly, offers good speeds and is quite pleasing to the eye (small matte metallic finish). Kingston quality for a very reasonable price.
I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it as an external drive or as an internal hard drive for your PC.
