Compared to my "mechanical" drives (some are over 10 years old) I give two stars for the price.
This is the second 120GB SSD that stops working without notice at around two years, the other was a Yucun, is SMART really implemented on this type of drive?
Used mainly as boot partitions for two operating systems (one for a SLED and one for testing other systems).
Fast delivery.
The disk boosts a tired PC.
Very fast start up under Ubuntu and quick response to requests
Ordered and received in May 2021.
Bought it to give my old bike a boost. I was delighted!
Full O/S and program start up super fast. Worked on 100/20 sharing.
PC plugged into UPS/lightning.
I suffered a sudden drive shutdown.
Faulty sectors; boot impossible; repair or full format impossible;
Burnt out after 1 year of use.
Even at 30 euros, this is difficult to accept.
While I still have IDE and Sata I HDDs that are over 15 years old and still work perfectly.
I'll forget the SSD and go back to the good old hard drive.

It really makes a difference...on an old PC, Windows 10 spends 100% of its time on the hard drive, on an SSD, it gives a real boost
So kingston practiced a real shame (not ldlc's fault) by changing the build models after sending them for testing to the influencer.moral of the story the disc is barely better than a hdd and deteriorates at a very high rate take anything else any other brand.
I've been using it for a month with no particular problems to report, just copying which has been complicated due to limited storage well thought of buying an extra sata.
This SSD drive purchased in June 2017 gave a second life to an ageing desktop pc. I was then delighted. Unfortunately, this boon was relatively short-lived as it has just given up the ghost, less than 3 years after its installation despite a far from intensive use. Sniff...
Ordered as a replacement for a SATA hard drive, this SSD completely refurbished a rather old PC (Core2Duo) for office use. Installed with a Windows 10 OS, the machine was totally unusable. Now, with its 4GB of RAM + this SSD, it is fully operational and as a bonus it lasts longer on battery.
Product out of order in less than 3 months. Bad luck. To be continued for the SAV, I have just started a file...
The product doesn't work (the disk is set to half full and is not recognised. Never had this problem with this brand, bad luck I guess. The delivery man, who is a subcontractor I was told, delivers to the nearest point of sale instead of the home. The shopkeeper who is fed up tells me to stop being a relay point.
Given the price, I did not spend my time sending the item back.
This does not affect my confidence in LDLC of course ;D

This is not the first time I have used this type of card to boost an old PC, the previous one having failed after several years of service (which can also happen with classic hard drives). Good product.
Very easy to install and fast. But after 2 years of use (not daily) disk failure.

Boy, was that old Acer from 2011 slow. With a little extra RAM lying around and that SSD, it's back in my classroom for a few more years of loyal service.
Installed and recognized right away. Lubuntu now runs like a charm! I recommend it.

I was looking for a very small SSD (20-30 GB) just to install Linux while keeping a bit of space for development and still decent performance. When I saw that for the price I was going to put on it I had 120 GB, I told myself that I wasn't taking a big risk (there won't be any sensitive data). I've already seen kingston crash several years ago, I guess it has stabilized since then and I'll see. So far no worries and all went well without doing anything.

I bought this ssd in order to replace the Hdd in a friend's laptop.
the pluses :

+ The price, now it is a nonsense to have a non SSD system disk.
The minuses :
- The 120GB fills up quickly so plan on an external drive or a cloud solution for the data.
- The reliability, we have no hindsight on the endurance of these SSDs at low prices, nevertheless if they last even 5 years the investment is largely worth it.
Second a400 ordered and nothing to report great SSD, I have had its big brother the V300 for nearly 5 years and it is in great shape, Kingston SSDs are a great value.
For the delivery the top, ordered Friday around 11am and received Monday noon Colissimo :)

I bought this drive to replace an old "classic" hard drive on a 10 year old machine. In addition to the change of drive, a change of OS was made, from XP to Mint 18.3, it is perfect for those who don't need a lot of capacity, but want the modernity and speed of an SSD.
I ordered two of these for some old PCs I had lying around, and they do the job perfectly, the joys of fast booting :D
They are not at the level of SSDs 3 times more expensive in terms of speed but are still perfectly viable for their price.
An SSD drive that brought an old PC back to life, I didn't put it in, someone else did. I didn't hear him grumbling so it must have been good. I'll have to see how long it lasts now. It is true that this technology is much faster.

The SSD is cheap but powerful, it's a pity that the screws are not included. Very smooth under Windows 10 and low power consumption. Running in a Dell Latitude D630, I gained a bit of battery life and safety for my documents.
I already own the UV500 version and I needed a cheap SSD in a hurry, this KINGSTON A400 120GB SSD is perfect for the job
I've been a customer of LDLC for over 15 years and I've been surprised to receive my SSD in an envelope for 6€ postage, fortunately it's not a +100€ SSD and the same goes for the anniversary code which only gives me 5%, it's less than the Monday offer or MAGINEA's deco subsidiary which offered me 15%, being a customer for over 15 years we can see that everyone is pulling on the rope, it's a shame

I've had this SSD in my tower for a year and it runs perfectly. I use it as a secondary HDD or I install my games, no problem! responsive and efficient it does the job properly. Thanks LDLC fast shipping as usual
I was not expecting this at this price and well, yes, it does what you would expect from an SSD and does its job perfectly. I was already trusting this brand for my USB flash drives and no disappointments.

I bought the SSD for the price and I'm not disappointed. Very fast, I didn't spend my time running benchmarks but for the price, buy without hesitation.

As said in the other reviews, it is perfect for installing an OS and demanding applications with a good old hard drive as a back up for all the data that doesn't require a fast drive.
Simple, efficient, immediately recognized by an Asus motherboard. The same goes for the installation of an Ubuntu system, it's turnkey.
It is small in GB, but I prefer to do it that way. It is associated with WD blue on which I prefer to store photos, music and films.

Despite a recognition problem after a 1st cloning (the ssd did not boot windows). I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to check it out and see if it's working properly.
The product is well packaged and sent quickly (-3 days) while it was in order 7/15 days on the site Ldlc, the Top!
The delivery was a bit long or late, normal for a classic pack. The package was well received, clean and works very well. I've been using it on a 2nd tower for my grandson and it does its job perfectly. The installation with this ssd made the pc faster than its shadow xd. I would recommend it!
