Long live Thrustmaster
Thrustmaster stands the test of time. This Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS replaces a Thrustmaster T.16000M I bought 15 years ago and finally gave up the ghost. I use it on PC and Xbox X.

A super joystick that's pleasantly accurate and reliable for its low price. I've played a lot of games with it and I've never been disappointed.
With the benefit of hindsight and a few hours' use, I've lowered my rating from 5 to 4 stars, and now 3 stars. This is my third modified review.
The RZ axis suffers from a recurring problem, because after a few hours (30 and more) it can start to oscillate as soon as you touch the stick. The RZ axis is the one that controls the yaw (the rudder pedals) when the control column is twisted left or right.
I've changed my previous opinion, which said that you could get away with defining a dead zone on this axis. Today this is no longer the case, the dead zone is no longer sufficient, the axis has intermittent oscillations at 100% on each side which ruin a landing or a bombing run.
The LDLC after-sales service gave me a telephone number to contact Thrustmaster, which becomes "busy" as soon as the first ring. Sad, this joystick is 2 years old and I've barely had time to use it (about 50 hours). It's a shame to have to give it up for a €2 potentiometer that they could easily replace. So it looks like I'll have to repair it myself. This axle replaces the rudder pedals I bought separately, but although the idea is excellent, it's too cheap to be sustainable over time. So I wouldn't recommend this purchase for the long term.
as efficient as ever goods well received and correspond perfectly to the description fast delivery from LDlc
Product was as I expected. Replaced a cheaper but poor quality Chinese product. I've been using it for a while now and it's a good idea to check it out. I'm very happy with the product.
I bought the same joystick 3 years ago for flightgear, great. Except that recently the vertical axis control was transmitting completely erratic information to the PC (when you rotate the joystick on itself). As for the rest, the customizable buttons, the controls on top of the joystick, etc., everything has worked perfectly and precisely during these three years. I took the thing apart to see if there was any dust or something broken, nothing, the sensor seems to work by the relative position of two electronic components, without direct contact, and the inside was clean.... Despite this wear and tear that I find a bit premature, I'm buying a new one! :^)
I was very pleased with the service and the quality of the product. The item I ordered met my expectations (and more). Thanks to LDLC.
I received the product as usual very quickly, as presented, and it was easy to install. So very satisfied with my purchase

Perfect tool to put in my left hand when I play Star Citizen ;)
I recommend without hesitation, it's a very good piece of equipment!
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product, it seems to be robust enough for many hours of play :-) it's more than a simple joystick and the best of all: it's completely recognized under Linux, no problem! I have fun with FlightGear flying A380s, Cesnas and other UFOs :-)
Thanks LDLC !
I bought this controller for its versatility.
I also have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro S for years so I can compare the two.
=== Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS ===
=== Pros :
- It is capable of being configured for both left and right handed users.
- It is also possible to configure it as ambidextrous.
- More buttons (12) in the joystick base than similarly priced alternatives.
=== Cons :
- Fewer buttons (4) in the upper part of the joystick than similarly priced alternatives.
- Plastic finish slightly inferior to alternatives.
- The throttle lever is not too convenient (slider in the back of the joystick). The same joystick in the "Logitech Extreme 3D Pro S" is significantly better.
- 30% more expensive than the alternatives (70e to 53e)
=== Conclusion:
This is a good buy only if ambidextrous functionality is important. So for left-handed people or if you need two joysticks (space sim, right for rotation and left for translation)
However, if you are right-handed and will buy only one joystick the "Logitech Extreme 3D Pro S" is a better option.
=== Comment for the space sim ===
To have 6 axes I see two options:
"Logitech Extreme 3D Pro S" + "Thrustmaster T.16000M" (123e)
Maybe less intuitive than a gas controller but cheaper and more "space sim".
"X56 Rhino HOTAS (270e)
(Throttle with mini joystick for traslation).
It is also practical for other simulators but more expensive.
Normally the quality is better.
good accuracy
many buttons but accessibility perfectible, more remote would be better.
throttle too fast
nevertheless an excellent quality/price ratio
as an info, replaced a Microsoft sidewinder at least 18 years old.
I'm a fan of aerial simulation.
I am left-handed, so I needed a joystick that would fit. Very good grip, it's a pleasure to be able to use the accessory 100%.
The quality of the component is reliable, quite robust. Any fan of simulation games will find his happiness!
I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the product.
This joystick offers the same precision vectors as the top of the range for a price that will appeal to more modest wallets.
Installation in less than 2 minutes under W10 64 and software provided for calibration / customisation more than ergonomic.
Five stars.
