I'd got used to headphones that fit over my ears, because I found helmets that went round the ear uncomfortable.
Nevertheless, I was tempted by these headphones and I'm delighted.
They're very comfortable, and you can keep them on your ears all day without any discomfort (as long as you don't turn the sound up too loud, so be careful with your ears).
The sound quality is perfect.
However, I'm not an audiophile and this is the first time I've bought such top-of-the-range headphones that I've used in my life. The bass is a little more pleasant than on my previous headphones (another Sennheiser but mid-range).
On the other hand, they are very bulky and heavy, so don't buy them for mobile use.
I've had them for over a year now and I'm very happy with them.
The fact that you can change the jack cable is, I imagine, a positive point in terms of repairability, but as I don't move it around, it's not a cause for concern for me.
High-performance headphones with exceptional sound quality. This is the second set I've ordered (I've had to give my old set a hard time for a few years). I'd recommend these headphones, especially for people with noise hypersensitivity problems. They're perfect for me personally.
If you've been wanting to change your headphones for a long time, this one is worth a look. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get a new headset, but I'm sure I'll be able to get a new headset in the future. Thanks to LDLC for the fast and careful delivery, but we're used to that.
For me, an ideal sound balance. In addition, these headphones offer excellent listening comfort, without fatigue.
The sound has no treble and it's cavernous, but it's mostly treble. So I keep it because I don't know how to send it back
Comfortable (quite light), good sound: the bass is there.
A small drawback: according to the description, the 6.35 cable is 3 m long but the 3.5 cable is only 1.20 m long, which is a bit short depending on where the PC is, for example.
Firstly, aesthetically speaking, it is beautiful in ivory white. Secondly, it encompasses the ears well, you are in total immersion, the comfort on your ears is there. I use it with a Creative Sound Blaster Zx sound card and the sound is really top notch, but even with the card turned off, I recognise the quality: the bass is well rounded, the mids and highs are well reproduced. The cable is detachable, which is practical. I only use Sennheiser for my mix and I have never been disappointed. The price is right, the delivery is perfect after unpacking, LDLC is always on top of things, I give it 5 stars.
This headset is comfortable because of its gap adjustment, padded headband, not too tight fit and felt earflaps. This is different from the "plastic leather" ear cushions that are not durable and crack after a while. It also lets the skin breathe and is cleanable with a little good will. The Sennheiser HD 599 is a headset that can be worn for hours on end without undue discomfort. The sound quality is very good, with good power and good dynamics. The bass is much better than with my old headphones (which were not low-end but were showing their age). Of course, it's "made in China" despite the German brand, but it's a product to be recommended.

Hi-Fi quality. The fact that it is open configuration, lets the sound appear more present. It is ideal for immersive movies and games.
Its comfort is due to its light weight and the materials used; its imitation leather headband does not exert any unpleasant pressure on the head. Its imitation velvet earpads feel well-made and won't crack as easily as other plastic ones.
Its open configuration makes above-average sounds audible towards the outside of the headphones.
The 6.5 jack connection with the 3.5 jack adapter extends the connection considerably and can therefore be more easily snagged and twisted.
But apart from that, the headphones exceed my expectations both in audio quality and in design quality.
I used to use a Senheiser HD 201. The HD 599 is better in every respect.
It doesn't isolate from outside noise at all. For me this is an advantage, for example, you can hear the baby who wakes up surreptitiously before his cries become loud enough to wake the neighbours' dog.

The first thing you notice when you put on this helmet is its comfort. A real plus, even when you wear glasses you are not bothered.
Then, the sound, precise and clear (I noted nevertheless a small bump in the low / low-medium). The listening is not aggressive and can be done for a long time, without auditory fatigue (at reasonable volume of course).
To finish, a good quality-price ratio. To have better at Sennheiser or another brand, it is necessary to invest clearly more.
