Some very good and some very bad.

Well, for the moment everything is fine with this very useful cable! Cloning of dd without problem. The cable is 42cm long (not counting the plugs). It's just right. I'm not sure how to use it, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use it. It's very nice to keep quiet because it's LDLC and everything (I've been a customer for about 10 years). But now they're starting to get on my nerves. They've picked up some bad habits now that they're on top. And I'm going to buy the competitor from you ... In the meantime: You order on Monday morning at 10am and the two items are in stock and the order is prepared on Tuesday and sent on Wednesday. It arrives on Saturday in a parcel relay. Great and this is the 5th time in a few months. To tell you the truth, for the last few orders I only buy from you when I can't find the item elsewhere.

        Very pleased

Unlike another customer, for me this adapter worked directly on a Debian (Bullseye).
As an indicator of operation, there is a small orange LED that is very (too?) discreet. It's a change from the bright white or blue LEDs found on some devices.
I chose an adapter with UASP because Mass Storage adapters (without UASP) do not support the TRIM command. This one does support it, but unfortunately not immediately on my Debian. This required some tinkering (see https://superuser.com/questions/1740543/no-trim-discard-with-a-sata-ssd-connected-through-an-uasp-enabled-usb-adapter ).
Finally, even if the transfer speed was not my motivation for the choice of this adapter, it seems to me very correct, provided that it is connected in USB3. With an old LDLC F6+ 60GB SATA SSD, I just measured 386MB/s. Unsurprisingly, in USB2, the speed drops to 40 MB/s, but it still works perfectly.

Good advice, perfect product, delivered quickly.

I needed advice before buying this to recover data from a hard drive. The advice was given by someone in the store who understood what I was trying to do. He provided the link. I ordered it, and it came quickly at a good price. I recovered my data, and am completely satisfied with the service.

        Own

Indispensable tool for all external SATA or SSD disk manipulations.
Does the job. Nothing to report.

        without a light witness

        Initially thought to be down.

No activity light or power light on the drive.
The disk does not appear (under linux) with a USB something id.
