The memory card reader part must have worked for a few minutes...
Since then, nothing, no more blue light, no more recognized in windows 10 last version (1903).
Even the "in-house" firmware update app doesn't see it anymore.
Only the USB 3 port works.

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have a 21-pin USB3 socket available on the motherboard, otherwise an adaptor will do the trick; depending on the model, you may have to sacrifice the USB output of the drive
No more cables to retrieve photos regardless of the type of card used in the camera. The front USB socket is more convenient than the ones on my tower, which are located on the top of the tower and not easily accessible under the desk.

Can't get it to work properly, too many I/O errors.
I'm not sure if the usb3 port is connected directly to one of the two usb3 outputs on the motherboard, but apparently not. Even installing the system by plugging the usb stick into this port does not work. The same usb stick plugged into a usb3 port behind the motherboard worked.
Reading a compact flash drive: slower than with an external usb2 drive.
It is quite possible that this is due to linux.

A brief description of this product which looks nice. A blue light is permanently on to indicate active power. While the green one indicates the use of an SD card etc.. Integrating perfectly with the silverstone FP55. The installation is simple and allows EVERYONE to do it without problems.

Works as expected. The connector matches the USB 3.0 connector on my new motherboard perfectly, so it couldn't have been easier to install.
The only thing is that there are 2 LEDs, one blue and one red. The blue one is always on and the red one never lights up. As there is no description of the purpose of the LEDs in the manual, I don't know if this is normal. In any case, it doesn't prevent read/write operation, which is the main thing.
