Product: Efficient. Quiet. I liked the setting options for managing secondary sockets and the control screen had everything I needed.
Nothing to complain about apart from the postage costs, which I would have appreciated being lower.
Purchased to protect and power a fixed PC in the event of a power cut. There are 4 power sockets, so it's perfect for connecting the CPU, two monitors and speakers.
Too noisy for a quiet personal office, this device generates a continuous noise of about 40db with peaks every 5 seconds at about 45db; even with about -10Db at a distance of one meter this remains excessive in a quiet personal office; not sure for this reason to want to keep this equipment.
The battery supplied was not recognized, it was necessary to pass by the service guarantee of the manufacturer, which did not make difficulty to deliver a complete equipment in replacement, with nevertheless with the final ten days of unavailability.
I was a little disappointed by the fact that the management of the device requires a USB connection, which when the main protected equipment is a NAS does not allow the use of the control software supplied with the UPS; I was probably naively expecting an SNMP type function allowing it to be done via the network.
Note that out of the 6 sockets only 3 are protected by the battery, the other 3 are only protected against power surges; and that the power saving function when the master is switched off only makes sense in the case of use with a computer as master, and not with a NAS.

I ordered this inverter, which seems to be of good quality, the display is nice, but contrary to what I read, it buzzes at 50hz with a little click every 5 seconds. It's not very loud, but you can't help but hear it in a quiet room like an office, and after a day I couldn't get used to it.
It is made in the Philippines
I gave it 5 stars despite a malfunction with the first UPS I received (it happens). My DS1621+ NAS takes control of the UPS without a problem.
I am reassured now that the UPS is working especially with so much data on the NAS!

The APC Back-UPS Pro 900G does its job perfectly. Simple installation and flawless operation.

6 years without worries, does the job perfectly (with 1 computer + 2 monitors + 1 NAS 4 HDD + Switch + Box)...
On the other hand, I withdraw half a star, because in March 2014, I bought it 160€ at LDLC, and 240€ in May 2020! 150% increase in 6 years!
I take off another half star, for the packaging: no over-packaging, just the original, super thin cardboard box; with inevitably the handles ripped off by the carrier when he uses them to pull such a thin and heavy box...
I received my package this morning, as expected, installed and well supported by my iMac under Catalina, without the software that came with it.

Conforms to the detailed features. Tested with a rather unstable mains supply (one surge per day on average with significant voltage fluctuation). In addition, its status variables can be read via the NUT protocol under Linux (USB usbhid-ups driver and nut program stack. see https://www.piapplications.eu/fr/articles/doc-0071.html). The NUT protocol also makes it possible to monitor its status from another machine with a suitable "client". It is therefore not reserved only for 'Windows' if one is satisfied with the knowledge of its state in operation.
Reliable, powerful enough for a computer, a server or a 3D printer (my case) and above all very intuitive in the settings.
Very good value for money. Does its job very well.
In short, nothing surprising for APC :) I highly recommend this UPS.
The only drawback is the delivery. I received it with the original box (no film to protect it or cardboard) with two holes as big as the dot. The inverter works perfectly despite this, which proves its resistance.
LDLC packaging is non-existent, so the box arrived with rough corners (the first package disappeared).

- Noise of tranfo and quite annoying when it is in full OFF position but connected to 220v, I just had to unplug it from the socket to solve this problem.

Purchased to replace a very old APC smart-UPS 750, which had broken down after 10 years with no problems.
Easy and quick installation. It works perfectly as soon as it is plugged into the mains, and its screen allows you to quickly see the different parameters. Very practical.

I've been using it for a while now, but it's a great product, I've been able to connect my 3 Syno NAS + my gaming PC and it's still going strong, it gives me 10-13 minutes of autonomy, plenty of time to turn off all my stuff.
I'm disappointed that the APC software still doesn't have the possibility of launching an external script in the event of a switch on the UPS so that the machines can be shut down automatically, I had to search the net to find something to do my shutdown by myself.

Having several servers at home, it has become vital to avoid problems related to power outages.
This UPS has 6 outlets in total, each one is protected against surges so I have connected all my sensitive installation on it.
Of these 6 outlets only 3 are backed up by the battery.
Concerning the switchover time, it is largely bearable for all the IT. After several simulations, none of my equipment felt the switchover to the battery, each remained active without any difference.
This UPS has a beep that warns us during routine operations (switching to battery, battery status. This beep can be disabled.
It has a screen that indicates the mains voltage and the voltage produced by the battery in the event of a mains failure.
There is also a charge indicator to know if your equipment is drawing too much or not.
As far as the noise level is concerned, there is a slight transformer noise when starting up, but this disappears after 20 seconds.

Silent, reactive, discreet: in fact, if not to have an eye on the beautiful display on a blue background, one would end up forgetting it, a guarantee of efficiency. It will be 3 years in november, always the same battery (the pc is never stopped)...A must in this matter
Very good inverter, it can also protect the telephone line and the RJ45 network.
There is a usb output to connect to the PC, recognised by Windows as a battery, a bit like a laptop.
The software provided is not really essential, it replaces the Windows power manager without really bringing anything new except the possibility to cut the power of the equipment automatically when the PC is stopped for example.
In my case, it protects a server with several backup disks as well as the box + switch without any problems.
I received the device very quickly but without any over-wrapping (packaging has always been LDLC's BIG flaw), very disappointed as soon as I plugged it in because of the noise it made (noise of an electric transformer that I could hear at more than 10m at night from another room).
After a few exchanges with APC support, they sent me a new device.
The after sales service is very efficient.
However, this new inverter is still not silent!
It is much quieter than the first model I had, but it is not totally silent (as for example the ES 550 model I also own). In terms of volume, to give an idea, it makes as much noise as a 2.5" hard drive when it is running slowly.
In the end, placed under a desk, I ended up forgetting about it.
The manual does not even explain the different displays that the screen can provide.
And it's a pity about the outage counter that the inverter integrates. It just displays the number of outages, but nothing else.
If you think that the software part can get around this problem, well no.
At best, if your PC is on, it will be turned off by the UPS, but in the evening when you get home, you will see "1" on the UPS, but how long did the outage last? 5min? 8hrs? impossible to tell by the UPS. (It's my NAS that gives me this info with the time it turns back on)
Last problem: the life of the batteries, it is indicated for 3 to 6 years only (my Cyberfort 500 UPS which is 15 years old still works perfectly well!)
Moreover, the 1st model I received was manufactured in August 2015 and the 2nd in April 2015, so the battery is already 1 year old before I even used it...
The finish is not "professional" at all, it's cheap plastic and there are even small pieces of plastic cut between the LCD screen and the glass.
We'll have to see how it ages over time.
Quiet inverter (I only hear my PC at the foot of my bed), the LCD (display of various information) is extremely appreciated, possible to see: the consumption in instantaneous, the percentage of use, the autonomy available, ...
the inverter is amply sufficient for my use. The MASTER plug is very efficient. I recommend it even if a more complete user manual would have been appreciated.
I bought this UPS to connect to my Synology NAS with 4 hard drives.
Well, it's way overkill! In standby the NAS draws 3% of the UPS capacity.
Very good integration with DSM, we are informed of any power cuts directly in the interface. In addition, the buttons and the screen are very practical to see the history and the live performance.

Used with a workstation (tower screen printer scanner etc) plus a synology server, two routers and the landline phone which gives me 30 minutes of autonomy at full load (I took it oversized on purpose)
