Simple, versatile bidirectional digital audio conversion
The Lindy bidirectional TosLink (optical) and coaxial converter offers a compact, versatile solution for connecting digital audio equipment that uses different interfaces. Capable of converting a coaxial SPDIF signal to optical TosLink, or vice versa, it features both optical and coaxial connectors for input and output. The digital audio signal can therefore be fed in through either of the two interfaces and then delivered simultaneously to the coaxial and optical outputs, eliminating the need for two separate converters.
This dual connectivity makes it easy to connect audio and video equipment from different generations, including DVD players, Blu-ray players, game consoles, amplifiers, soundbars, receivers and Home Cinema systems. The converter supports high-resolution digital audio up to 24 bits / 192 kHz, as well as LPCM 2.0, Dolby Digital 2.0/5.1 and DTS 5.1 formats, so you can enjoy both stereo content and multichannel sound.
In addition to conversion, the device can also act as a digital audio repeater, a practical feature for extending signal transmission when the distance cannot be covered by a single digital coaxial or TosLink cable. Its input selector makes it easy to choose the source, while its Plug & Play operation simplifies integration into a home or professional setup. Measuring just 46 x 46 x 23,5 mm, its minimalist white enclosure blends discreetly into any audiovisual setup.
