Y-shaped fan cables with a black finish
The Noctua NA-SYC1 chromax.black is a kit of three Y-cables designed for connecting PC fans. Each NA-YC1 cable allows two fans to be connected to a single motherboard fan header. This solution also allows the speed of both fans to be controlled simultaneously when they are compatible with PWM control. Its black sleeving blends into predominantly black PC builds and matches Noctua fans from the chromax range.
Each cable features 4-pin connectors and measures 115 mm. The connectors are compatible with 3-pin fans as well as 4-pin PWM fans. However, PWM control is only available with compatible 4-pin models. Several NA-YC1 cables can also be daisy-chained to connect more than two PWM fans to the same fan header. In this configuration, the fans' combined power consumption must remain within the limit specified in the motherboard manual.
The NA-SYC1 chromax.black therefore makes it easier to connect several fans when the number of available headers needs to be optimised. Simultaneous control via the motherboard allows two PWM fans to share the same header, while the ability to daisy-chain several cables increases the number of fans that can be connected. The chromax.black sleeving provides a uniform black finish to the cabling and allows these accessories to be coordinated with Noctua chromax fans. The kit includes three Y-cables, which can be used according to the layout and number of fans in the build.
