A USB C power adapter or other USB PD power source capable of delivering 30 W (or more) is required to charge this device. For optimal charging, Apple recommends pairing this Mac with the 30 W USB C Power Adapter or the 70 W USB C Power Adapter to enjoy fast charging (up to 50% charge in 30 minutes)6.

Wireless web battery life measured by browsing 25 popular websites with Wi-Fi. Video streaming battery life measured by streaming 1080p content in Safari with Wi-Fi. All systems were tested with display brightness set to 8 clicks from the bottom and keyboard backlight off. Battery life varies by use and configuration. 3 The display size is measured diagonally. The display on the 13-inch MacBook Air has rounded corners at the top. When measured as a rectangle, the screen is 13.6 inches diagonally (the actual viewable area is smaller).
