- POWER ADAPTERS – Please note that the MacBook Pro (14-inch) with M5 Pro or M5 Max comes with a USB C to MagSafe 3 charge cable, but without a power adapter. A USB C power adapter or another USB PD power source capable of delivering 70 W (or more) is required to charge this device. For optimal charging, Apple recommends pairing this Mac with the USB C 70 W Power Adapter or the USB C 96 W Power Adapter to take advantage of fast charging (up to 50% charge in 30 minutes)8.

1 Tests conducted by Apple in January and February 2026 on preproduction 14-inch MacBook Pro units equipped with the Apple M5 Max chip with 18-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 36GB of unified memory and a 2TB SSD, and on 14-inch MacBook Pro units equipped with the Apple M5 Pro chip with 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 24GB of unified memory and a 2TB SSD. Battery life for wireless web browsing was measured by browsing 25 popular websites over a Wi-Fi connection. Battery life for video streaming was measured by watching 1080p content in Safari over a Wi Fi connection. Display brightness was set to 8 clicks from the lowest setting and keyboard backlight was turned off. Battery life varies by configuration and use. See apple.com/fr/batteries for more information.

Fast charge testing was conducted with drained MacBook Pro units. Time was measured from the moment the unit exited deep sleep or the Apple logo appeared upon startup. Charge time varies with settings and environmental factors. Actual results may vary.
