A USB C power adapter or other USB PD power source capable of providing 70W (or more) is required to charge this device. For optimal charging, Apple recommends pairing this Mac with the 70W USB-C Power Adapter or 96W USB-C Power Adapter to take advantage of fast charging (up to 50% charge in 30 minutes).

    a real little power beast

    This MacBook in its M5 Pro version, with 15 CPU and 16 GPU, is already a real power beast. If you don’t do extremely heavy 8K editing every day and saving even a single second isn’t crucial for you, there’s no need to pay double for the Max version! I compared the processor power of this machine to that of my Ultra 9 285K on my work PC, and Intel is behind: 22 300 points on Geekbench 6.7 in multi-core versus 26 450 for the Mac! I couldn’t believe my eyes, same in single-core… And all that for only 35 watts of consumption! A real revolution, these M5 Pro chips.
