The vintage-style connected radio that's so irresistible
Ruark Audio 's R1S is a superb neo-retro-style radio. Connected, it's a complete music system, offering first-class Wi-Fi streaming via Spotify Connect, Deezer and Amazon Music - and with its Bluetooth 5.2 receiver, it gives you access to all the other services available - but also a state-of-the-art radio experience, thanks to its SmartRadio tuner with Internet/DAB/DAB+/FM radio, all controlled by its Oktiv app.
Exceptional sound and connectivity
The R1S features a stunning TFT colour display, which clearly shows the information you want to see - time, alarm, stations playing, programme information, album art etc. - from any viewing angle. - The brightness adapts to the ambient light. The Bluetooth 5.2 connection will stream music from your smartphone. The integrated amplifier and adaptive equalisation provide rich, audible musicality, even at high volumes. Combined with the famous NS+ loudspeaker, the R1S lives up to its promise in terms of acoustic performance.
Equipped with its sublime RotoDial 'signature' rotary knob, it's as easy to control as anything in the world. This handy knob makes it easy to navigate intuitively through the stations and podcasts that tickle your fancy.
Used as a clock radio, the R1S has 2 independent alarms, adjustable to your preferences. There are also sleep timer and snooze functions. A headphone output and a 3.5 mm jack input are available on the back of the R1S. A USB-C port lets you charge a smartphone, but more importantly, allows the R1S to play audio files stored on a memory stick.
