IQaudIO Pi-DAC PRO for Raspberry Pi

TheIQaudIO Pi-DAC PRO is a high-end audio card designed to deliver a high-fidelity sound experience on the Raspberry Pi A+, B+, Pi 2, Pi 3, and Pi 4. Compatible with the HAT standard and featuring an integrated EEPROM, this DAC is natively supported by Raspbian Linux, with no need for kernel recompilation, making it immediately functional with the majority of open-source audio software.

The card is based on theTI Burr Brown PCM5242 audiophile digital-to-analogue converter, capable of reading formats up to 32 bits / 384 kHz, with remarkable audio quality: signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 114 dB and total harmonic distortion (THD) of -94 dB. Thanks to its built-in TI TPA6133A headphone amplifier, the Pi-DAC PRO delivers powerful, accurate sound, even with demanding headphones. Like its predecessor (the Pi-DAC+), it uses I2S signals to reduce the load on the processor, guaranteeing smooth playback without placing intensive demands on the Raspberry Pi's CPU. It has hi-fi quality RCA/Phono connectors, and can also (via JST headers, not included) connect balanced XLR-type outputs, making it ideal for professional audio installations. There's no need for an external power supply: the Pi-DAC PRO is powered entirely by the Raspberry Pi. It also comes with a mounting kit, and acrylic cases are available for easy integration into complete audiophile projects. This DAC is a high-performance all-in-one solution for demanding music lovers.

The IQaudIO Pi-DAC + is compatible with the latest Raspberry Pi A + / B + AND RPi2. However, it is not compatible with older Raspberry Pi A and Model B. The balanced output is exposed via two headers without adjustment. You'll have to solder them yourself. Although compatible with Pi-AMP +, an additional 2x5 pin connector must be soldered. Standard IQaudIO enclosures will work with the Pi-DAC PRO but there is no cut-out for the balanced output.
