It has an improved 6-inch E Ink Carta 1200 touchscreen that offers faster viewing, deeper contrast and faster page turning. It is glare-free and has a Dark Mode with a new option of white text on a black background, to choose from depending on your preference.
Thanks to its compact design, the Kobo Clara 2E fits comfortably in your hand. Stay in the story you're reading by swiping the touchscreen or using the buttons to turn pages when you only have one hand free. You can also read in landscape mode.

ComfortLight PRO 's brightness control and blue light reduction technology reduces eye strain so you can read through the evening without affecting your sleep. Your reading light no longer has to go to bed before you do.
The Kobo Clara 2E is fully waterproof, so it won't get splashed or get wet when you're reading in the bath. It will let you read anywhere, in the park, on the page, on the underground and even in the rain. It meets the IPX8 standard, which means that it is waterproof for up to 60 minutes and 2 metres deep.
Take your library with you everywhere
This Kobo e-reader has a battery life of several weeks, a built-in digital bookstore, and Pocket support for saving and reading articles online. It also supports Kobo audio books via Bluetooth wireless technology to compatible headphones or speakers.
The Kobo Clara 2E comes with 16GB of storage capacity, which is enough to have a good library on hand. Carry up to 12,000 eBooks, 75 Kobo audiobooks or a combination of both with you.
