A lightweight, precise, fast mouse that's gaming by definition.
The buttons are numerous, well placed and definable - what more could you ask for?
I got it as a replacement for my Corsair Sabre, which I fell in love with over several renewals, but the thumbwheel kept giving out on me every couple of years or so. This Logitech feels great in the hand, the buttons are easy to reach and the clicks are pleasant to the touch. I don't regret my purchase at all and I highly recommend it!
Bought to replace a G502 Hero that gave up the ghost (RIP my beautiful one), this one seems to me to be equivalent in terms of ease of use.
Much better than any other mouse I've tried, and it's not unpleasant to have removed the backlight. I was surprised by the absence of the removable weights in this version, but I didn't need them. The mouse is still light and easy to handle.
The detachable scroll wheel is still a must for this mouse.
The button layout is a little tighter, perhaps, than on the G502 Hero, which I find better: I no longer need to stretch out my fingers to reach them all (especially the previous/next buttons (by default), which are in the middle of my thumb instead of at the tip). The shape itself hasn't changed, but it's still worth pointing out that its ergonomics are very appreciable. My metacarpals thank me.
I've used almost every wired Logitech mouse in this range in the past, from the MX510 to the G502 Hero SE.
This new version is excellent. For the first time, an effort has been made on weight. The mouse is substantially lighter than its predecessors. Also gone are the removable weights, which I never used before.
The sensor is still flawless, as with the previous versions. The layout of the buttons is also very well thought out, with the usual notched wheel that can be made free by pressing a button, and which also allows horizontal scrolling.
Also, there is no longer an RGB on by default. This is much more comfortable. I find LEDs distracting.
I haven't installed the Logitech drivers, in my experience that can be a problem and Windows handles all the mouse buttons well (except the G9 which allows you to change the profile used on the fly, which is logical without the Logitech software).
